This series of drawings was created in the aftermath of the exhibition “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” at Expo Bart in Nijmegen, where all works originated from the experience of being a parent.

In these drawings, the word MAMA is written repeatedly, layer upon layer, until it begins to lose its clarity. What starts as something direct and recognizable gradually becomes chaotic, emotional, and (almost) unreadable. The repetition reflects the intensity, urgency, and persistence of the word as it exists in daily life and dissolves into something more visceral.
